ANN UK is delighted to introduce the Advanced Practice (Renal) Community of Practice—a national network designed to connect, support, and empower Advanced Practitioners and Trainee Advanced Practitioners working in kidney care.

Whether you’re an experienced AP, new in training, or exploring the role, this community offers a space to share expertise, collaborate with peers, and advance best practice in renal care across the UK.

🎯 About the Community

Our mission is to strengthen and standardise Advanced Practice in nephrology by bringing practitioners together to share experience, knowledge, and innovation.

Key aims of the Community of Practice include:

• Developing and sharing best practice in renal Advanced Practice
• Creating a national network to encourage collaborative working
• Offering peer support to Trainee and qualified Advanced Practitioners
• Raising wider awareness and understanding of the AP role in kidney care

👥 Objectives

By working together, we aim to:

• Promote consistency and standardisation of Advanced Practice across the UK
• Develop nationally recognised AP (AP) competencies
• Support individual practitioners in their ongoing learning and professional development

• ✅ Inclusive Approach: We work in partnership with our members and other organisations to share knowledge, resources, and ideas.
